🤝🛟 Team Building at Pizza Villa! 🛟🤝

What a fun morning for our Union County CEO students! A huge thank you to The AJ Wildcats Superintendent Brett Detering for leading us through a team-building activity that had everyone thinking, laughing, and working together.

The challenge? You're stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean 🌊 with 15 items on board, including:

💧 Water
🪞 A signal mirror
🪢 A nylon rope
🥫 2 cans of food
🎣 Fishing line and hook

Students first ranked all 15 items on their own, then joined teams of three to agree on a single ranking together. It sounds simple, but it sparked some great conversations about priorities, problem-solving, and how to make decisions as a team. Our students brought creativity, strong reasoning, and plenty of personality to the table!

Mr. Detering used the activity to show how much stronger our decisions become when we listen, share our reasoning, and are willing to compromise. That lesson fits perfectly with where our class is headed. As students work together to brainstorm, choose, and launch our class business, they'll need to weigh different ideas, respect each other's perspectives, and find common ground to move forward as one team. 💡
