✨ Union County CEO Visit: Davie School Inn ✨
On Wednesday, March 18th, our Union County CEO young professionals had the privilege of visiting the beautiful Davie School Inn and spending meaningful time with owners, Lyle and Tammy Woodrum.
Even though we’ve been fortunate to gather at Davie School Inn throughout the year, this visit offered something truly special—the opportunity to sit down with Lyle and Tammy, hear their story, and experience the heart behind their incredible bed and breakfast.
🥞 The morning began with a wonderful homemade breakfast (complete with cheesy eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, and unforgettable peach French toast!), followed by a tour of the Inn. Each thoughtfully designed room—named by subject and color—showcases the creativity and attention to detail that sets this business apart.
What resonated most with our team, however, was not just the space—but the people behind it. Lyle and Tammy shared stories of their experiences traveling and living across the country and the world, while also expressing a deep appreciation for the uniqueness and strength of our Southern Illinois community. 🌎❤️
Their perspective challenged our young professionals to reflect on their own futures—where they may go, what they may experience, and how to recognize and value the opportunities right here at home.
💡 From business lessons on differentiation and creating meaningful customer experiences, to life lessons about growth, change, and knowing when to take the next step—this visit left a lasting impact.
Above all, Lyle and Tammy’s kindness, humility, and genuine encouragement stood out. From preparing a warm meal to personally connecting with each student and offering words of pride and support, they made our team feel truly valued.
