One of the things that makes the Union County CEO experience so unique is that we never meet in a traditional classroom. π«β
Instead, our young professionals gather inside real, working businesses throughout Union County. π’β¨ Each year, different businesses graciously serve as our βhome base,β allowing students to experience authentic professional environments while they learn, collaborate, and grow.
This intentional structure matters.
By meeting in local businesses rather than a classroom, students are immersed in real workplace settings. They observe professional culture firsthand, adapt to different environments, and begin to see themselves as part of the broader business community. π€π It reinforces that their learning is not theoretical β it is practical, relevant, and connected to the world around them.
Our most recent home base has been the City of Jonesboro, where we meet at Jonesboro City Hall. ποΈ
On team meeting days β when we are not hosting a guest speaker or visiting another business β this space allows us to:
β’ Strengthen our team culture π¬
β’ Collaborate on individual and group projects π
β’ Map out next steps for our businesses π
β’ Problem-solve in real time π§
β’ Take care of important CEO βhousekeepingβ βοΈ
These days are foundational. They give students the space to bond as a team, refine their business plans, practice professionalism, and hold one another accountable β all within a real-world setting.
We are incredibly grateful to the City of Jonesboro for allowing us to utilize such a welcoming and functional space. π And a very special thank you to Brandi, Kisha, and Cara, who greet us with smiling faces and warm hospitality each time we walk through the doors. π Their kindness does not go unnoticed.
Partnerships like this are what make CEO possible. When our community opens its doors, it opens opportunities for our students. πͺβ‘οΈβ¨
We are thankful to be part of a county that believes in investing in its young professionals β not just in words, but in action. πΌπ
