About Me
Zoe Fuhrhop is a senior at Cobden High School. She is involved in many school clubs including Beta Club, FCCLA, and Scholar Bowl as well as being a part of the theatre department. Zoe plans on attending Southeast Missouri University to obtain a major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and to obtain a minor in Business Management. With these degrees she wants to become a high school Family and Consumer Science teacher. Zoe eventually wants to set up a small family business of her own once she is settled in her teaching career.

Store 2 Door, Zoe's business, was created when she saw the need for a reliable grocery delivery service in Union County. Zoe on U.S. Bank tour-- I saw the employees talking to the customers at the drive up, and you can tell that they really value their customers.

Zoe on conversation skill activities--I love the communication activities we do. Not only do they give us the chance to learn the communication skills we need, but they are also really fun.

It was really great to hear from someone that was so close in age. It made him super relatable. He had some big goals and I look up to someone like that, since I too have big goals in my future.

On Susan Odum and Nancy Lambert's presentation: The exercise we did, where we passed the money around was truly eye opening. I never thought it through that once we take our money out of our area, it’s gone.

On Jordo's Pizzeria: Hearing about Mr. Anthony Edwards and how he is able to juggle so many things really gives me something to work for when I have my own business.

On the Farmer's Market--Since their business moves everyday, if not twice a day, they have to arrive way before opening time to set it all up to make it appealing to the customer's eye. Another thing that really blew my mind is that it’s not just a seasonal business. It is a year long business even if they aren't working at markets their figuring out the taxes of the farm and production information.

A big thing I took away from Curt Walker is that you always have to see the potential in something in order to have a successful business. He found a church that was for sale, and made it into a car shop. I would have never seen that potential in a building, and that gives me something to remember when creating my own business.
